How do I cancel my subscription?

  1. Open Settings on your iPhone

  2. Tap your name at the top

  3. Tap Subscriptions

  4. Select Nua

  5. Tap Cancel Subscription

Your subscription remains active until the end of the current billing period.

How do I restore my purchase on a new device?

  1. Download Nua from the App Store

  2. Open Settings in the app

  3. Tap "Restore Purchases"

  4. Sign in with the same Apple ID used for purchase

Can I get a refund? All purchases are processed by Apple. To request a refund:

  1. Visit reportaproblem.apple.com

  2. Sign in with your Apple ID

  3. Find your Nua purchase

  4. Select "Report a Problem"

  5. Choose your reason and submit

Which capture mode should I use?

  • Candid: For natural moments, parties, playing with kids

  • Posed: For group photos when everyone's ready

  • Interval: For time-lapse or regular documentation

Why aren't photos being captured?

  • Ensure camera permissions are enabled in Settings

  • Check that faces are visible and well-lit

  • In Candid mode, genuine smiles trigger capture

  • In Posed mode, hold still for 1.5 seconds

How much storage do photos use? Each photo is approximately 3-5MB. A typical session of 50 photos uses about 200MB.

Does Nua work in the background? No, iOS requires camera apps to be active on screen. The app must remain open to capture photos.

Is my data private? Yes. All processing happens on your device. Photos are saved only to your local photo library. We don't collect, store, or transmit any data.

Troubleshooting

App crashes on launch

  1. Restart your iPhone

  2. Delete and reinstall Nua

  3. Ensure iOS is updated to latest version

Photos not saving

  • Check photo library permissions in Settings

  • Ensure sufficient storage space (Settings → General → iPhone Storage)

  • Verify the "Nua" album exists in Photos app

Face detection not working

  • Clean camera lens

  • Ensure adequate lighting

  • Faces should be at least 20% of frame

  • Try switching between camera lenses

Battery draining quickly

  • Enable Battery Saver mode in Nua settings

  • Reduce screen brightness

  • Use shorter session durations
